NateC87 played Football Manager 2009

Started a new game with the mighty League Two GIllingham. Good start to the season, am currently sitting 2nd on goal difference with 3 teams at the top.

All of my signings have been free transfers and sold a few for a couple of thousand.

Major signing - Olivier Bernard, he's sitting pretty at left back, Ian Walker rejected me for a move to Huddersfield.

My bright start to the season has been down to 2 things:-
The form of Canadian striker Simeon Jackson (who is consequently injured, which, I think, is the main reason why I am in 2nd and not 1st

And my astute loan signings - Sam Hewson and Richard Eckersley from Man Utd and Fred Sears from West Ham. Sears has been scoring regularly as has Hewson, albeit from the penalty spot. Eckersley has often been referred to as the key man for my team pre-game but his 3 month loan deal is up and he has returned to United = sucks.

Hopefully the transfer window will bring more signings. The 4k signing of Daniel Parejo is the main target. Couldn't sign him previously because of the wage bill being too high. But his signing could propel back into League One.

Here's hoping...

God knows when I'll play again because of the amount of work I have to do but when it's done I'll be back on it.
